ANNA HOLMSTRÖM | Founder
Anna is known for her physical and body-challenging works that fuses contemporary dance with flexibility acrobatics.
Her love for movement started at a young age with Rhythmic Gymnastics. Crafting her skills for 10 years, becoming Swedish Champion and represented the National Team of Sweden in international competitions throughout Europe between 2002-2007. Simultaneously she began her dance education at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and Diambra Dance Education in Stockholm.
As a performer Anna has graced stages around the world such as the Sydney Opera House with the production Message In A Bottle produced by Sadlers Wells, the Flying Bach World Tour together with German B-Boy Crew Flying Steps and the musicals Pippin and Funny Girl at Malmö Opera.
Through Petricore Movement Anna is collaborating with artists around the world to create dance performances, short-films and exhibitions. Her debut solo performance “Debris” has toured throughout Europe and the USA and won the Open Your Mind Showcase competition in London 2019.
Growing up on the countryside the surrounding landscape has influenced and shape me into the person and artist I am today.
Nature is my largest source of inspiration for creating art.
It can be nature itself, how we humans treat nature or the simple joy of creating while standing in a forest, feeling the warmth of the sun while it shines through the trees.
